The value of the Turkish lira is sinking fast against the US dollar.<br /><br />Foreign imports are more expensive, inflation is set to rise, businesses are struggling to pay foreign debt and this is expected to translate to higher unemployment rates in the future. <br /><br />Turkey is still reeling from a summer of violent protests and a high-level corruption probe.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Anita McNaught reports from Istanbul.
