Serbia’s President Tomislav Nikolic has dissolved parliament and called elections for March 16. The dominant centre-right SNS party said it needed a stronger mandate to accelerate reforms.<br /><br />Some of them are aimed at meeting conditions set by the European Union for member candidates.<br /><br />Serbia started EU membership talks earlier this month but is unlikely to join before 2020.
