Award-winning actor Philip Seymour Hoffman has been found dead in New York.<br /><br />According to police sources, the 46-year-old was discovered in his Manhattan apartment on Sunday after a friend called the emergency services. He reportedly died of an apparent drug overdose. <br /><br />Hoffman won a Best Actor Oscar for his 2005 portrayal of writer Truman Capote. <br /><br />He also received three Academy Award<br />nominations as Best Supporting Actor.
