There are going to be some sleepless nights in Seattle this week as the Emerald City celebrates its football team’s stunning Super Bowl victory over the Denver Broncos.<br /><br />They won the game 43-8 to capture their first NFL crown in franchise history; and they did in such style, the match will surely go down in American football history.<br /><br />The usually high-scoring Broncos were undone by a dominant defensive display which shut down the top-rated offense and their record-setting quarterback Peyton Manning.<br /><br />Linebacker Malcolm Smith, who received the Most Valuable Player, award, was a tower in defence making one 69-yard interception which helped the Seahawks enjoy a 22-0 lead at the break.<br /><br />It all meant Seahawks coach Pete Caroll could finally get his hands on the Vince Lombardi trophy, 20 years after he started out coaching.
