There have been three large explosions in Yemen close to the defence ministry, the central bank and the former president's home.<br /><br />The blasts in the capital Sanaa came shortly after a car exploded near the diplomatic area.<br /><br />One of the mortars was fired in the direction of the French embassy.<br /><br />It is not clear who is behind the attacks.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Dominic Kane reports.
