Authorities in Togo have seized four tonnes of ivory they say was destined for Vietnam, making three arrests.<br /><br />It is thought more than 500 elephants were killed.<br /><br />Despite an international ban, the illegal ivory trade is estimated to be worth billions of euros.<br /><br />The UN has warned that it is become an important source of funding for armed groups in Central Africa.
