Fire-fighters tackled dozens of bushfires burning across Victoria and South Australia on Monday (February 10) that have destroyed at least 26 homes.<br/> <br />There are no reported deaths or injuries despite the ferocity of the fires, local media reported.<br/> <br />Around 6,000 firefighters were mobilised to help deal with what was described as the worst fire situation for five years, reports said.<br/> <br />At least 28 fires are out of control in Victoria and crews are focusing their resources on a fire in Melbourne's northern fringe.<br/> <br />Firefighters are also battling a blaze in South Australia's Flinders Rangers, which is still burning out of control but is no longer threatening homes.
