A team of Dutch engineers was at work in the flood-stricken English village of Burrowbridge on Monday (February 10) to drain water as the flood crisis showed no signs of abating.<br/> <br />Drainage equipment and massive pumps were brought in from the Netherlands to England's southwestern County Somerset to help with relief work.<br/> <br />A former National Rivers Authority manager Pete Rossiter explained that the pumps will help to drain the water that currently has nowhere to go.<br/> <br />Fourteen severe flood warnings, meaning there is danger to life, are in place in the counties of Berkshire and Surrey, while two remain in Somerset.<br/> <br />A 94-year-old woman was evacuated from her home in Wraysbury in Berkshire, after properties were flooded in the area.<br/> <br />Thousands of homes along the River Thames are threatened with flooding as flood waters continue to rise. Weather forecasters expect more heavy rain in the UK on Tuesday.
