With 100 days to go until the European elections, the countdown in the race for votes has begun in earnest.<br /><br />Political parties of all persuasions will start hitting the campaign trail in recent weeks to win the public’s support.<br /><br />But the European Parliament will have a huge challenge to surmount: turnout has dropped in every election since it began life as a directly-elected body in 1979.<br /><br />Another question for MEPs is how will they win votes in the face of an increasingly popular Eurosceptic movement. Which camp is more in touch with public opinion?
