US President Obama and first Lady Michelle rolled out the red carpet for French President Francois Hollande at the White House on Tuesday evening. <br />Hollande is on his first official visit to the US since 2011.<br />He's been in talks with the President Barack, during a two day visit to Washington, where the two nations have reaffirmed an alliance.<br />The French president says mutual trust with the US has been restored, since relations soured more than a decade ago when France opposed a US led invasion of Iraq.<br />Hollande will travel to Silicon Valley this week where he'll meet businessmen for possible investments in France.<br />Al Jazeera's Tom Ackerman reports from Washington, DC.
