The day after a lavish state dinner at the White House, French President Francois Hollande visited the tech hub of San Francisco.<br/> <br />He was given a ceremonial "Key to the City" by Mayor Edwin Lee.<br/> <br />In turn, Hollande praised San Francisco as being a leader in innovation and creativity.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (French) FRANCOIS HOLLANDE, PRESIDENT OF FRANCE, SAYING:<br/> <br />"It's here in California, in San Francisco, that the world of tomorrow is being invented, the world of the 21st century. It's here that a revolution has been launched through new technology, and this revolution is attracting all the world's best talents and that's why the French are here."<br/> <br />During a high-profile lunch, he met with technology executives like Google's Eric Schmidt and Facebook's Sheryl Sandberg.<br/> <br />Hollande's San Fran visit emphasized the current strength of US-French relations which he and President Obama spoke of earlier in the week.
