At least 51 people have been killed in an attack by gunmen from the Islamic Boko Haram sect here in northeastern Nigeria, witnesses say.<br/> <br />Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan's government is having difficulty containing the insurgency in this region.<br/> <br />Bodies upon bodies are carried through the smoldering in streets, and buildings are left charred.<br/> <br />This is the aftermath of what an attack by fighters who sped along these roads on Tuesday afternoon with automatic weapons and explosives.<br/> <br />They stormed the local government area of Konduga in the Borno state in the northeastern part of the country.<br/> <br />The military has confirmed the attack took place, but has not released a total number of casualties.
