Surveillance video from the National Corvette Museum in Kentucky captures the moment in which a sinkhole eats away at the floor beneath highly valuable vintage cars.

A 1993 ZR-1 Spyder and a 2009 ZR1 "Blue Devil" -- which were on loan from General Motors -- were among the cards swallowed by the 40-foot sinhole.

The Western Kentucky Engineering Department flew a drone into the sinkhole, revealing footage of the cars covered in dirt. Some are completely overturned, others only traceable by their wheels sticking out of the dirt.

The museum is currently trying to find away to extract the damaged Corvettes, but some vehicles near the sinkhole have been safely removed.
