At least seven Somalis are killed when a remote-controlled bomb aimed at a UN convoy tore through cars and tea shops just outside the capital's international airport Thursday.<br/> <br />The Somali Islamist militant group al Shabaab is claiming responsibility for the attack.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (Somali) EYE WITNESS MAHAMED ABDI AHMED, SAYING (ROUGH TRANSLATION):<br/> <br />"I was shocked when I saw a lot of people lying on the ground seeking help in front of the airport gate."<br/> <br />The strike was another reminder of the threat still posed by the rebels after African peacekeepers pushed them out of the capital in 2011.
