Michael Schumacher’s skiing accident, was exactly that: an accident – according to the French prosecutor investigating the case. <br /><br />French investigators could find no evidence of criminal wrong-doing connected to the Formula One legend’s tragic fall on Dec 29th last year, while skiing off piste at France’s exclusive Meribel resort. <br /><br />Schumacher suffered serious head injuries after taking a route between two pistes. He fell and hit the right side of his head against a rock hidden in the snow. <br /><br />The prosecutor said the pistes were adequately marked according to French norms. <br /><br />After the accident Schumacher was taken to Grenoble University Hospital, where he is now slowly being woken from coma, which was medically induced as part of his treatment. <br /><br />It is understood that it may take months before the retired Formula One champion’s prognosis is clear.
