Actress Ellen Page, who was nominated for an Oscar for her role in "Juno," came out as a lesbian on Friday (February 14) at a Las Vegas conference for gay teens.<br/> <br />The 26-year-old actress is in good company. Over the past two decades, several high-profile celebrities have come out of the closet. Some, like Ellen Degeneres and Melissa Etheridge in the 1990s, came out during a time when it was controversial.<br/> <br />Famously private Jodie Foster came out during a speech after receiving a lifetime achievement award at the 2013 Golden Globes. Singer Elton John came out as bisexual during a 1976 interview with Rolling Stone, and later told the outlet in the 1980s that he was gay.<br/> <br />Neil Patrick Harris, Rosie O'Donnell and news host Anderson Cooper are among the many others stars who have come out.
