One of the world’s most wanted men, drug baron, Joaquin “Shorty” Guzman has been arrested in Mexico. <br /><br />He has long run the Sinaloa cartel, which smuggles large amounts of illegal drugs into the United States.<br /><br />His capture came in a joint operation between the US and Mexico. <br /><br />Guzman had been on the run since 2001 after escaping from a high-security prison in a laundry basket.<br /><br />The country’s president Enrique Peña Nieto, who has been in office for just over two years ago, has taken a different approach to the war on drugs and this arrest is sure to be a boost to the government’s campaign.
