London-based designer Corrie Nielsen presented her very first collection on the Paris catwalk with a collection inspired by arts and literature.<br/> <br />Nielsen, born in the United States but trained in the United Kingdom, has showcased her collections in London for the last six seasons but chose to start with a clean slate in Paris for Autumn/Winter Pret a Porter.<br/> <br />Structured outlines and sculpted forms are the designer's trademark.<br/> <br />Capes with long trains, impressive high collars and voluminous hips and shoulders gave shape to a feminine silhouette, reminiscent of Elizabethan-style dresses.
