Pakistan calls for no more drone strikes

The use of attack drones is expected to increase in coming years as the US reduces its military spending.<br /><br />Strikes by unmanned aircraft in Pakistan have been hailed as a success by some, but human rights campaigners call them a form of death penalty without trial as they often end up killing civilians.<br /><br />Pakistan's government says it asked the US to stop drone attacks because they infringe on Pakistan’s sovereignty, are against basic human rights and drive extremism.<br /><br />So far this year there have been no drone attacks in Pakistan's tribal areas.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Osama Bin Javaid reports from Peshawar.
