ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />A high-rise apartment building in Medellin, Colombia was imploded on Thursday (February 27) in a controlled explosion that toppled the building, leaving just a heap of rubble and thick smoke and dust.<br/> <br />The blast occurred several minutes before it was anticipated, but authorities said the implosion was a success with the building collapsing in on itself and toppling in just seconds.<br/> <br />Tower 5 of the Space Building complex in Medellin was deemed unsafe after Tower 6 accidentally collapsed last October killing 12 people.<br/> <br />Authorities still have to determine if Tower 4 of the 6-building complex in the upscale El Pablado neighbourhood is safe.<br/> <br />Residents were evacuated from Tower 6 in October of last year after cracks were noticed in the structure.<br/> <br />Hensei Vega, the owner of an apartment in the complex, said they were still waiting for answers surrounding the tragedy.<br/> <br />The mayor of Medellin, Anibal Gaviria said the demolit
