Protesters detained during pro-Guzman rally in northern Mexico

Hundreds of people in northern Mexico rallied in support of the captured drug lord Joaquin Guzman -- known as El Chapo or "Shorty".<br/> <br />Protesters marched through the streets of Sinaloa state, demanding that the man they say has provided jobs, money and security, is not extradited to the US.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (Spanish) PROTESTER, JANET, SAYING:<br/> <br />"It's a way to show we are against the fact they (authorities) could extradite him. He's Mexican, he was arrested here and he has to be in his city."<br/> <br />It's the second protest in a week since Guzman was arrested. Twenty people were detained after defying police orders to disperse.<br/> <br />One photographer told the media shots were fired into the air to scatter the crowd.
