In Afghanistan, at least five Afghan troops have been killed in a NATO led airstrike in the east of the country.<br /><br /> Several soldiers were also badly wounded in the friendly fire incident in the early hours of Thursday morning in Logar province. <br /><br /> NATO has already begun an inquiry into what happened but the attack is likely anger Kabul.<br /><br /> Coalition airstrikes on friendly targets have helped deepen divisions between Washington and Afghan President Hamid Karzai. He has refused to sign a bilateral treaty allowing US troops to remain in Afghanistan beyond 2014.
