Russia has rallied support for a Crimean bid to secede from Ukraine, with a leader of Russia's parliament assuring her Crimean counterpart that the region would be welcomed as "an absolutely equal subject of the Russian Federation''.<br /><br />The rally on Friday, in Moscow's Red Square was attended by an estimated 65,000 people, many of whom waved Russian flags, and chanted "Crimea is Russia!''<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Peter Sharp reports from Moscow, examining Russia's take on the continuing crisis.
