A week from today, people in Crimea will vote to decide whether the region will leave Ukraine and become part of Russia.<br /> <br />The vote has been denounced as illegitimate by some observers, and even as "treason" by others.<br /><br />But the Crimean Parliament is in no hurry to compromise.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Paul Brennan reports from the Crimean capital of Simferopol.
