Eyewitnesses say dozens of anti-government protesters were arrested in clashes with police in Caracas on Sunday.<br/> <br />They were marching toward a military base in the latest demonstration against President Nicolas Maduro's government.<br/> <br />Security forces stopped them from reaching the base.<br/> <br />A group of student protesters diverted their march to an opposition stronghold, where police fired teargas, and demolished barricades.<br/> <br />The students retaliated by throwing rocks.<br/> <br />At least 28 people have been killed in the last six weeks in anti-government protests -- and some 1,500 arrested.<br/> <br />They're protesting issues ranging from crime to shortages of goods.<br/> <br />The Maduro government has come under criticism for being heavy-handed with protesters.<br/> <br />Around 21 officers have reportedly been arrested on allegations of brutality.
