Innovators from around the world are showcasing their talents at “The Toilet Fair” in New Delhi, India.<br /><br />The ‘Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’ set participants a challenge to reinvent the toilet.<br /><br />Its primary goal is to create cheap and serviceable devices for 2.5 billion people worldwide who don’t currently have hygienic sanitation systems and may not have ready access to water.<br /><br />Scientists at the Fair are asking people to ‘think outside of the box’ by recognising normal toilet waste as profit-generating resources for electricity, fertiliser or even fuel.
