Russia consolidates its hold on Crimea as one of the last Ukrainian-controlled military bases falls to its troops.<br/> <br />Armoured vehicles, stun grenades and gunfire marked the Russian seizure of the Belek air base on Saturday.<br/> <br />It was the final chapter in the base's resistance after Moscow's annexation of Crimea.<br/> <br />Its airstrip and warplanes had already been seized at the start of the crisis.<br/> <br />One Ukrainian serviceman was wounded during the Russian assault.<br/> <br />The base commander's been detained at an unidentified location for talks.<br/> <br />A naval base also fell under Russian control as Ukrainian forces abandoned it following attacks by pro-Russian protesters.<br/> <br />Ukraine's fleet flagship and the nation's only submarine, too, were surrendered to Russian forces.
