Turkey has shot down a Syrian war plane near its southern border. <br /><br />Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan accused Syria of ignoring warnings and violating Turkish air space. <br /><br />Syria said its jet was pursuing rebels inside Syrian territory and described the shooting as blatant aggression. <br /><br />Al Jazeera's Omar Al Saleh reports from Istanbul.
