Demonstrators in Taiwan have occupied part of the government’s headquarters in a protest against a controversial trade pact with mainland China.<br /><br />Thirteen people were injured in scuffles with police.<br /><br />The protesters claim the deal will hurt small service companies while Taiwan’s president says its vital for the island’s prosperity.<br /><br />Parliamentary approval of the agreement on April 8 would open 80 of China’s service sectors to Taiwan and 64 Taiwanese sectors to China.
