It's been less than a year since Egypt's military removed the country's first democratically elected leader.<br /><br />And now the man who led that coup, Egypt's defence minister and armed forces chief has resigned and says he will run for president.<br /><br />In nationally televised address, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi said he was responding to a call from the people. <br /><br />Al Jazeera's Nick Toksvig reports.
