Thai satellite spots 300 objects floating in ocean

ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />STORY: A Thai satellite has detected about 300 floating objects in the southern Indian Ocean where an international search is underway for a missing Malaysian jetliner, said Thailand's Geo Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA) on Thursday (March 27).<br/> <br />Anon Snidvongs, the executive director of GISTDA said the satellite images was taken on Monday (March 24) and took two days to process the information.<br/> <br />The objects were spotted around 2,700km (1,680 miles) southwest of Perth by the satellite "Thaichote".<br/> <br />Thailand has already forwarded the information to Malaysia, GISTDA said.<br/> <br />Thai media reported it remains uncertain whether the objects are from Malaysia Airlines MH370 and the Thai images come after a French satellite spotted 122 objects nearby.<br/> <br />Thaichote or "Thailand Earth Observation Satellite" is a remote-sensing satellite used for natural resources observation.
