Fresh off his trip from Italy, U.S. President Barack Obama arrived in Saudi Arabia on Friday to meet with King Abdullah.<br/> <br />A number of Saudi princes and officials welcomed the president before the meeting, which focused on Gulf security, Syria, Iran, Middle East peace and Egypt.<br/> <br />At his desert palace northeast of the capital Riyadh, King Abdullah had what appeared to be an oxygen tube connected to his nose.<br/> <br />Saudi Arabia wants Obama to shift the U.S. position on support for Syrian rebels.<br/> <br />The U.S. has so far been reluctant to supply rebels with surface-to-air missiles.<br/> <br />U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and National Security Adviser Susan Rice joined Obama on the trip.<br/> <br />It was his first visit to Saudi Arabia since 2009.
