Hundreds of African migrants have tried to scale the fences between Morocco and the Spanish enclave of Melilla.<br /><br />Around 800 people tried to climb the barbed wire fences several times on Friday, but most were turned back by security forces from both sides.<br /><br />Others hung onto the fence for hours, before police convinced them to come down.<br /><br />Many of the migrants come from Cameroon and other Sub-Saharan African countries, seeking work and a better life in Europe.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Simon McGregor-Wood reports.
