April White was a sergeant with the U.S. Marine Corps who deployed to Iraq in 2007. According to a nationwide poll conducted by The Washington Post and the Kaiser Family Foundation, half of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans say their transition to civilian life was either somewhat or very difficult.
