Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif took notice of a fire that engulfed the fourth floor of a building near Kalma Chowk, Lahore, Express News reported on Tuesday. <br />The fire, which reportedly erupted because of a short circuit, was brought under control after hour-long rescue work. <br />The building, Century Plaza, housed money changers, computer shops and travel agencies. <br />Four people – present on the floor when the fire broke out – were rescued and shifted to a hospital for medical assistance. <br />Shopkeepers in the area claimed that fire-extinguishing equipment was not available in the building. <br />In a recent incident on March 26, three people were killed when fire broke out in a shopping plaza in Lahore.
