When you open the box, you will discover two ice ball molds. Each mold is made of two silicone halves. The lower piece has a flat bottom and the top piece has a hole so you can fill the mold with liquid. The two halves of the mold easily snap together. After that, it's time to fill the molds with liquid. You can add water to make outstanding ice spheres, or why not try putting in fruit juice or even alcohol to really get your guests talking. You can add the liquid by pouring into the mold from a glass, a jug or straight from the faucet. If you want your ice spheres to be clear, you will most likely get the best results using distilled water-- or try using boiled water. Don't fill to the very top. It's important to leave a little space as the ice will expand. Put the molds carefully in the freezer. You will observe that the bottoms of the molds are flat to make sure that they won't fall over and will remain stable throughout the freezing process. How long will they need to freeze? This depends on your freezer and it's settings. Having said that, an average time would be around 4 hours. Once frozen, getting the ice sphere free from the mold is very simple.
