After being saved at a very young age, Pastor Jean Marc Desire surrendered to preach at 18 years of age and has been involved in ministry ever since. He has a diploma in broadcast engineering from Cleveland Institute of Electronics in Cleveland, Ohio. He has a graduate diploma in theology from Liberty Bible Institute of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia; he holds degrees in Biblical Studies from Word of Life Bible Institute in Schroon Lake, New York; a Bachelor in Theology from Bethany Divinity College and Seminary in Dothan, Alabama; a Master of Ministry from Freedom Bible College and Seminary in Siloam Springs, Arkansas; a Master of Divinity from Luther Rice University in Atlanta, Georgia, and is a candidate for a Doctorate of Ministry. <br /> <br />Pastor Desire has been the founding and Senior Pastor of The Evangelical Haitian Baptist Church of Canape-Vert, Petion-Ville, since 1989, and he has been the chairman of the mission organization, The Evangelical Haitian Baptist Churches, Inc. for the past 24 years. The Evangelical Haitian Baptist Churches, Inc is a mission work that meets spiritual, social and educational needs through a ministry network that includes four churches, a Bible School, two Christian schools, and a rescue mission.
