A village in western Hungary which was devastated by a tide of toxic sludge has rebuilt itself as a eco-friendly settlement.<br /><br />Devescer was partly destroyed when a dam holding aluminum sludge collapsed and a wave of chemicals flooded homes.<br /><br />Today the bus station is powered by geothermal energy and the village is one of the few places in the country not reliant on Russian gas.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Laurence Lee reports from Devescer.
