<p>At least one person was seriously injured at a student party near the Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, after light poles were toppled and cars overturned on April 8. A large crowd had gathered near Stanton Avenue for an annual <a class="link" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://www.veishea.iastate.edu/" target="_blank">VEISHEA</a> celebration at the university.
