A military spy satellite has soared into the sky from an Israeli air force test range. <br /><br />Defence officials have said before it is aimed at boosting the country’s intelligence gathering capabilities in the face of Iran’s nuclear programme. <br /><br />It is claimed it will also spy on Iranian support for militant groups in neighbouring Arab countries. <br /><br />It is the tenth such satellite sent into orbit by Israel. The last one was launched four years ago.
