You wouldn't think the kings of the jungle would be in the middle of a financial crisis.<br/> <br />But they are. Ukrainian banks have blocked this Crimean safari park's accounts following Russia's annexation.<br/> <br />According to the park's director, fifty lions could face starvation as a result:<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (Russian) OLEG ZUBKOV, SAFARI PARK TAIGAN, SAYING:<br/> <br />"There is only enough meat in the park for a few days. We will have to come up with something. It is impossible to explain to tigers that they have become victims of somebody's political ambitions or a revolution. They need meat, 7-10 kilos. In total, the park consumes about 500 kilos of meat per day."<br/> <br />In addition to the African lions, the park is home to giraffes, Himalyan bears, kangaroos, monkeys among others.<br/> <br />All victims of a political tug-of-war.
