Hundreds of Ecuadorians are marching through the capital Quito to protest oil drilling in the Yasuni National Park, which is part of the Amazon.<br/> <br />It's home to Ecuador's largest oil fields, but also some of the world's most diverse wildlife.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (Spanish) ALICIA CAUILLA, A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE WAORANI INDIAN SAYING:<br/> <br />"Of course the oil is important to the government but the people that live in the jungle need to live a clean and healthy life. That is why we are here. The children of our children, where will they live?"<br/> <br />The protesters marched to the Ecuadorian National Counsel and presented a petition with thousands of signatures, demanding there be no drilling in the park.<br/> <br />Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa says there could be an estimated $22 million made, and be used to fight poverty in the country.
