Pro-Russian protesters in Ukraine’s eastern city of Donetsk retained control of several administrative buildings on Sunday.<br /><br />A small group of pro-Russian protesters remained in front of the administration building secured by barricade of tyres and barbed wire. <br /><br />A few hundred meters from the administration building <br />people on the street had different opinions of the way out of the crisis.<br /><br />Larysa Zayets, a pro-Russian protester said: “I stand here for my grandchildren and my children, because what’s happening is fascism.”<br /><br />Donetsk resident Olha said: “We want peace on Donetsk land. We are protesting against fascism and against double standards.”<br /><br />Government buildings in several other towns in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions were attacked. <br /><br />Washington said the moves were reminiscent of events leading up to Russia’s annexation of Ukraine’s Crimean peninsula.
