ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />In a show of athletic diplomacy, U.S. Vice President Joe Biden and Secretary of State John Kerry unveiled the 2014 FIFA World Cup trophy in Washington on Monday (April 14).<br/> <br />During the ceremony, the two high-ranking U.S. officials remarked how valuable soccer, and sports in general, is in finding common ground across the globe.<br/> <br />"This trophy represents the shared hopes and dreams of billions of people around the world, and I cannot think of anything that unifies people as much, brings out the best and shows our commonality - the common spirit of sportsmanship, the common spirit of competition, the common spirit of great athleticism," Kerry said.<br/> <br />Qualifying countries from around the world will travel to Brazil for the Cup.<br/> <br />Brazil kicks off the tournament with a group stage match against Croatia in Sao Paulo on June 12.
