The first bodies have been brought in from a sunken ferry in South Korea as authorities continue the desperate search for survivors. <br /><br />For now only six people are known to have died in Wednesday’s shipping disaster, but nearly 300 people, many of them students, still remain unaccounted for.<br /><br />Earlier, visiting a makeshift shelter, South Korea’s prime minister faced a barrage of questions from angry parents anxious to know what was being done to find their loved ones. <br /><br />Heading from mainland South Korea to the southern island resort of Jeju at the time it is still unclear what caused the vessel to suddenly capsize. <br /><br />More than 170 people have been rescued so far but a major search operation is still ongoing with fears many on board may still be trapped inside the flooded boat. For the moment, however, divers have reportedly found no bodies. <br /><br />Already a race against time the effort to find any further survivors is expected to be hampered by poor weather conditions, with heavy rain and fog predicted.
