Supporters of the Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika are claiming he has been reelected to a fourth term in office. <br /><br />His main challenger Ali Benflis says the election was rigged and has promised to fight the result in court. <br /><br />The turnout in Thursday's vote was just over 57 per cent.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Dominic Kane reports.
