The bus was found by a passerby on a remote mountain road between Aardal and Tyin, about 200 km northwest of Oslo. Authorities say the attack took place at around 5:30 p.m. local time.

According to a witness, "The bus was on the side of the road, so we stopped our car and ran over. It was impossible to open the doors. Then we saw a dark-skinned person inside the bus. At first, we thought he was trying to get out but then saw he was moving around with a knife, and we realised that the situation was quite different."

Firefighters were the first to arrive on the scene, which was originally reported as a traffic accident. They overpowered and detained the suspect, who was described to be a foreign man in his 30s, until police arrived.

The victims were one woman and two men, including the bus driver. There were no immediate details of other casualties.

--------------------------------------------------------

TomoNews is your daily source for top animated news.
