For the first time in nearly three decades, an American man was the first to cross the finish line at this year's Boston Marathon.<br /> <br />Meb Keflezighi felt inspired by his win, in what was the first running of the race since a bombing last year near the finish left three people killed.<br /> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (English) BOSTON MARATHON WINNER, AMERICAN MEBRAHTOM KEFLEZIGHI, SAYING:<br /> <br />"I just kept thinking, Boston strong, Boston strong, Meb strong, Meb strong. Just give it everything you have and if I get beat, that's it.
