A 21-year old man in northern Italy has been crushed to death by a crucifix built to honour Pope John Paul II <br /><br />It happened just three days before John Paul will be canonized in Rome.<br /><br />Part of the 30m-high sculpture collapsed at a ceremony near the town of Cevo to mark the canonisation.<br /><br />The crucifix was built to commemorate the Pope’s visit to the area in 1998.
