Representatives from 17 shantytowns in Argentina’s capital Buenos Aires have begun a hunger strike.<br /><br />They are calling for improvements to their neighbourhoods including sewers and lighting and paving.<br /><br />They camped out next to the Obelisk, one of the best-known monuments in the city. Those taking part will rotate every five days during the two week protest
